Joyce Chan 陳老師
陳老師出身於音樂世家, 自小已學習鋼琴, 她於年僅十五歲已在香港完成英國皇家音樂學院聯合委員會之八級鋼琴文憑試 (ABRSM), 移民後繼續於名師Dona Fishwick 及Greg Semerdjia 之指導下完成RCM培訓，並考取多倫多皇家音樂學院(RCM)之鋼琴演奏文憑(A.R.C.T)，同時陳老師亦擁有RCM認證之專業鋼琴及樂理教師文憑。
Ms. Joyce Chan hails from a musical family and began playing the piano at the age of five. By 15, she had completed the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) certification in Hong Kong. After relocating to Vancouver, she continued her musical training under esteemed teachers Greg Semerdjian and Dona Fishwick, ultimately earning the Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto (A.R.C.T.) diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). She is also a certified RCM Teacher Specialist for Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced piano and theory.
陳老師曾於2000至2008年間參於多次鋼琴比賽、獨奏會及音樂節表演並獲得多個獎項，包括Kiwanis 鋼琴比賽， Student Performer’s Guild Festival, Burnaby Clef及Festival on the Lake 音樂節等。2004年和2008年，她曾於青年鋼琴演奏家協會之歐洲巡迴作二重合奏演出，並曾於溫哥華小女皇劇院舉行慶祝音樂會。
Ms. Joyce Chan has an accomplished performance history, having won awards and participated in numerous competitions, recitals, and festivals, including the Kiwanis Music Festivals, Student Performer’s Guild Festival, Burnaby Clef Music Festival, and Festival on the Lake. In 2004 and 2008, she toured Europe performing as part of an ensemble duet for the Young Pianist Recitals Society and appeared in the Celebration Concert at Vancouver Playhouse.
陳老師教授鋼琴已30年， 學生包捨不同年齡和各級的學生。她曾於在溫哥華, 本拿比以及烈治文各私立音樂學校及各種社區中心教授。不少學生亦於RCM加拿大皇家音樂學院之各級考試中取得非常優異成績, 不少成續有90分或以上，同時她每年亦會為學生準備參演不同的音樂節及演奏會。
With over 30 years of teaching experience, Ms. Joyce Chan currently instructs students of all ages and skill levels. She has taught at various community centers in Vancouver and Burnaby, as well as several private music schools. Many of her students have achieved outstanding results in RCM examinations, consistently scoring above 90 from levels 1 to 10.
近年，Joyce老師有幸指導了三位在皇家音樂學院（RCM）考試中榮獲金牌的學生，他們在各自的鋼琴級別中都取得了年度最高分。他們的努力付出令人矚目！
Recent Years, Teacher Joyce had the honour of mentoring three students who earned Gold Medals in the RCM Exam, achieving the highest marks of the year at their respective Piano levels. Their dedication and hard work truly shone through!
陳老師還接受過專業加拿大開發之小組班教學課程,名為MYC (Muisc For Young Children), 該小組班專為幼兒音樂教學。此外， 她亦是“Music Together”之認證教師.
Ms. Joyce Chan also prepares students for festivals and recitals throughout the year, nurturing both skill and confidence. Ms. Chan is specially trained to teach group lessons for young children using the Canadian-developed “Music for Young Children” (MYC) method. Additionally, she is a certified teacher of “Music Together”, fostering singing skills for children from toddlers up to age nine.
Sharing my Passion
陳老師的教學目標是啟發每個學生對音樂的熱誠，同時教授必要的技巧和理論。她認為音樂學習可以增強自信心，鼓勵良好的學習態度，並使他們能夠挑戰自己的局限；所有的孩子都有自己的音樂天賦，只要有適當的方法加上有趣生動和愉快的學習環境，以及良好的導師，他們總能從音樂學習的過程中受益。
Ms. Joyce Chan core mission is to inspire a lifelong love of music in every student while equipping them with essential technique and theory. Ms. Chan believes that learning music not only builds self-confidence and encourages positive learning attitudes but also empowers students to break their own limits. She passionately embraces the belief that all children possess unique musical gifts and, with the right approach, a joyful learning environment, and a caring mentor, they can truly flourish through the process of music education.
